The Lakeroad Lodge was established in 1990 and is currenlty owned and operated by Brian, Penny and Jesse LaBore.  Brian and Penny purchased the motel in June of 2005 and continue to invest in this great getaway to provide their customers with a clean, friendly environment.  With friendly customer service, they treat each customer as their extended family and their moto is "We Treat You Better Than Family, Because We Want You To Come Back".

Located 11 North of Baudette on Highway 172, in the Heart of Wheelers Point, this quant lodge is a unique vacation spot.  Not only are the rooms spacious and clean, but they have added a community cooking facility equipped with gas grills, electric deep fryers, microwave, hot plate with pots and pans.  The cooking facility is a 22 x 26 heated building providing a great gathering place for large groups and a new spacious lodge for sitting and having coffee with them in the morning and catching up on the fishing report and days events.

Additional amentities include a heated fish cleaning facility, complimentary coffee in the office each morning, and each room is equipped with refrigerators and cable TV.

If you are looking for full vacation packages, they also offer, newly built ice houses both day and sleeper.  The day houses are 8 x 12 with cushioned bench seats and rod holders, and the packages include your bait and road access passes.  The sleeper houses are 10 x 20 built in bathrooms, gas cook top stoves with pots and pans, memory foam mattresses and come with generator and TV/DVD player for your entertainment.

For your summer vacation, they also offer USCG certified Charter Service on a 27 foot Sportcraft equipped with bathroom, poles, bait and for additional fee a sack lunch may be provided or a shore lunch may be requested.
